SiteRescue is a mobile emergency website backup tool designed for situations where normal backup methods fail. It connects directly to a server over SFTP or FTP (including variants like FTPES/FTPS) and creates a complete backup without installing anything on the site. The app automates the process: it connects, cleans up remnants from previous runs, compresses site files on the server, detects supported CMSs by reading configuration files, extracts database credentials, and exports the full MySQL/MariaDB database. It then packages files and the database dump into a single ZIP with restore instructions and streams it to your device. Backups can be saved locally and optionally uploaded to personal cloud accounts such as Google Drive, iCloud (iOS), or OneDrive. The positioning is “emergency use” for hacked sites, hosting issues, or urgent migrations.
