Sensecast is a weather application for iOS, iPadOS, and Android that combines forecasts with explanations, source attribution, and live hazard information. Instead of relying on one global weather provider, it can route forecasts to services that model a user's region and terrain, including agencies such as NOAA, the National Weather Service, MET Norway, and Météo-France. Each weather metric includes educational information covering everyday sensations, safety ranges, and underlying atmospheric science. Sensecast also includes Doppler radar, tornado and severe weather tracking, power outage information, earthquake, wildfire, and tropical cyclone monitoring. Its Weather Academy provides a searchable glossary covering weather measurements, models, and physics. The app identifies the source and update time for forecast data and stores location and preference information on the device. Optional Pro features include additional forecast models, health-related pressure alerts, and storm verification reports using archived weather observations and warnings.
Weather apps often lack explanations, source clarity, and local hazard context.
Sensecast explains metrics, routes forecasts by location, and adds live hazard data.
