PassSafer is an offline password manager for Windows focused on keeping credentials and sensitive files stored only on the user’s computer. It uses AES-256-CBC encryption with PBKDF2 key derivation to protect a local vault and supports organizing entries into folders. Access is secured with a master password plus a 6-digit PIN, includes brute-force lockouts, and auto-logout after idle time. The app can generate strong passwords using a cryptographically secure random generator and can clear copied passwords from the clipboard after a short time. PassSafer also allows attaching and encrypting files (up to 100 MB) per entry. For portability and resilience, it provides import/export to create encrypted backups (including attachments) protected by a separate backup password, enabling restores on another machine with PassSafer installed. It is sold as a one-time purchase with lifetime access and updates, and avoids cloud dependency entirely.
