About
Nano Banana is an AI image generator and editor that creates new images from text prompts and modifies existing photos using natural language instructions. Powered by Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model, it supports text-to-image and image-to-image workflows, with options like aspect ratio, resolution, and output format (PNG or JPG). The site emphasizes character consistency across multiple generations, multi-image context for blending references, and precise local edits that change specific parts of an image without affecting the rest. Example workflows shown include old photo restoration, photo colorization, clothing replacement, background changes, face direction adjustments, and converting a floor plan into a photorealistic 3D render. It also offers browser extensions for in-browser editing and a credit-based pricing model, with downloads intended for commercial use.
