What is Fond?
Fond is a recipe manager and meal planning app designed to keep a home kitchen organized from saving recipes to cooking them. It centralizes recipe storage (including importing from a URL), lets you drag recipes into a weekly meal plan, and automatically generates a shopping list that can be organized and synced across household members. While cooking, Cook Mode provides step-by-step instructions with built-in timers and an always-on screen. Fond also includes craft-focused modules, starting with a Pizza Workshop featuring baker’s percentages, hydration control, fermentation tracking, and oven presets for multiple pizza styles. An AI cooking agent supports tasks like substitutions, techniques, and deciding what to cook with available ingredients, and is described as learning from how you cook over time. Fond is planned for web, mobile, and desktop with syncing across platforms.
