About
FileDrop is an application designed by Clearforge Studio for transferring files locally between devices without the need for an internet connection, cloud service, or user account. It operates over a Wi-Fi network, facilitating direct transfers between Android devices and PCs running Windows or Linux. Key features include the ability to send and receive multiple files simultaneously, utilize QR codes for easy file reception, and monitor transfer progress in real-time. Privacy is a top priority, as no personal data is collected or shared, and all file transfers occur directly between devices without cloud storage involvement. FileDrop also offers a premium version for removing ads, supporting the project, and enhancing the user experience with a one-time payment model. Developed in France, FileDrop emphasizes simplicity, efficiency, and user respect, catering to those needing a straightforward, reliable file transfer solution. The desktop client is available separately and includes features like address display, QR code access, and a file history log.

Hey 👋 I’m David, indie dev behind FileDrop. I built it to send files without cables, accounts, cloud uploads, or chat apps that compress media. Pair with a QR code and transfer instantly over local Wi-Fi/LAN. Phone↔phone, phone↔computer. Feedback welcome! 🚀
