It focuses on private document intelligence: you can ask questions about a PDF, run grammar checks on selected page ranges, and compare or synthesize information across multiple papers. For academic workflows, it can extract full reference lists from papers, theses, and dissertations and export clean BibTeX; it also supports verification using sources like CrossRef and arXiv and can rename files from extracted metadata. CleverGhost includes Smart Folder to automatically categorize documents and detect duplicates locally, and BibGhost, a built-in reference library that stores extracted citations in a local database with search, tags, and export/copy options. It also provides PDF utilities such as compression, page management, and security tools. The app emphasizes no uploads, no tracking, and local processing by default.
