ChromeClaw is an open-source Chrome extension that provides a personal AI assistant directly inside the browser. It runs within Chrome’s sandbox and is designed to work without a separate server, Docker setup, command line tools, or a required account. After installing, users add their own API key and can connect to multiple LLM providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, and switch models as needed. The extension supports persistent memory across sessions with automatic session journaling, and it includes a multi-agent setup where users can create named agents with separate models, tools, workspace files, and custom JavaScript tools.
