What is Bus Core?
BUS Core is a local-first ERP application for operators who want inventory, manufacturing, and margin tracking without relying on a hosted SaaS. It runs on the user’s own machine and emphasizes operational flow: inventory movements feed manufacturing runs, and margins are derived from those real movements through inventory-linked COGS. The product highlights strict operational boundaries such as no forced user accounts, no telemetry, no subscriptions, and no cloud sync or remote dependencies. Core capabilities include FIFO inventory tracking with batch-based valuation, recipe-based manufacturing with atomic production runs, local cash event tracking (Finance v1), encrypted database export using AES-GCM, and a REST API intended for local integrations. Technically, it uses SQLite (WAL mode) and a FastAPI server that binds locally by default (127.0.0.1).
