Amplitron is a professional guitar amplifier simulator focused on real-time audio processing with ultra-low latency. It lets users shape guitar tone on a computer using a customizable chain of nine effects: Noise Gate, Compressor, Overdrive, Distortion, Equalizer, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, and a Cabinet Simulator. The app includes a preset system to save, load, and share tones, and supports multi-track recording with automatic metadata tagging plus export of high-quality WAV files that include full effect chain information. Amplitron is available as native builds for Windows, macOS, and Linux, and also offers a no-install browser demo. It works with PortAudio-compatible devices across common audio backends (ASIO, WASAPI, CoreAudio, ALSA). The project is free and open source under the MIT License and is built with C++17, PortAudio, SDL2, and Dear ImGui.
