What is AFK Live Translate?
AFKLiveTranslate is a Windows 10/11 tray utility that translates text visible on your screen. You draw a box over the text you want to understand, the app performs OCR on that region, and then renders a clean translation overlay while keeping the original background visible. The workflow is designed to be quick and stable by focusing on region selection rather than full-screen capture. It can be used on web pages, desktop apps, documents, and videos (including subtitles). For languages, it downloads a one-time language pack per language on first run. The app states it has no telemetry by default, and network access is used only for optional language packs or optional translation APIs; premium translation providers can be enabled in Settings using a bring-your-own-key approach.
